About this matchbox
The Russian Tea Room was founded in 1926 by members of the Russian Imperial Ballet, becoming a meeting point for Russian émigrés, musicians, and people from the entertainment world. Its proximity to Carnegie Hall made it a hub for artists, directors, and composers. To this day, its Art Deco interiors continue to welcome numerous celebrities and those who wish to travel back to the 1920s.
If I find myself in New York, I'm absolutely certain I want to visit this place, which has also appeared in numerous films and series (mostly American) such as When Harry Met Sally, Big, Gossip Girl... I'll keep pulling the thread and tell you more when I can, as I have too many matches to investigate!
